Brand Strategy

The foundation of everything we communicate. Waitz Energy exists at the intersection of technical building science and practical property advice.

Brand Story

Construction firms and refurbishment contractors face tighter energy regulations every year. MEES, Part L, SAP calculations, BREEAM targets - the compliance bar keeps rising, and getting it wrong costs real money in delays and rework.

Waitz Energy sits between the regulations and the build. We handle EPCs, airtightness testing, thermal imaging, and retrofit assessments so that construction teams can focus on building while we handle the energy performance side.

We work with developers, contractors, and project managers who need reliable assessment partners - not another consultant who disappears after the report.

Logo System

Three concepts explored. One recommended. The logomark should work at 16px favicon and on a van door.

Concept A - The Arc

Two concentric arcs forming a "W" shape. Minimal, geometric, timeless. Could be a luxury fashion brand, could be a tech company. The negative space between the arcs creates tension and movement. Scales from favicon to billboard.

Concept B - The Ring

A broken circle with a warm gradient gap. The circle represents wholeness and efficiency. The gap is the opportunity - the space where improvement happens. Feels premium, feels confident. Think Beats, think Vodafone. Simple mark that becomes iconic through repetition.

Concept C - The Shift SELECTED

Two overlapping squares, offset. The overlap zone is the gold accent. Represents transformation - from one state to a better state. Geometric, bold, modern. Works great as a pattern element too. Think Figma, think Slack.

Concept D - The Flow

A continuous line that forms an abstract "W" and flows into itself. One unbroken stroke. Suggests efficiency, continuity, a closed loop. Elegant and distinctive. Harder to reproduce in very small sizes but striking on larger applications.

Concept E - The Prism

An abstract geometric mark - three parallelograms stacked to create depth and dimension. No reference to anything specific. Pure form. Feels architectural without being a building. Think Stripe, think Linear. Clean, tech-forward, premium.

Usage Rules

Do

  • ✓ Maintain minimum clear space of 1x mark height on all sides
  • ✓ Use gold mark on dark green, or dark green mark on light backgrounds
  • ✓ Minimum size: 24px for icon-only, 120px for full lockup
  • ✓ Use the provided SVG files - don't recreate from scratch

Don't

  • ✗ Rotate, distort, or add effects (drop shadows, glows)
  • ✗ Place on busy photographic backgrounds without a container
  • ✗ Change the proportions of mark to wordmark
  • ✗ Use colours outside the approved palette

Built around deep forest green and warm gold. The green anchors trust and environmental seriousness. The gold adds warmth and premium feel without corporate coldness.

Two families. Inter for body and UI - it's what we use now and it works. DM Serif Display for headlines - adds warmth and distinction that Inter alone can't provide.

Display / Headlines

DM Serif Display

Elegant warmth. Traditional trust signals. Pairs with Inter's precision.

Use for: page titles, section headers, hero headlines, pull quotes. Not for body text.

Body / UI

Inter

Clean. Highly legible. Extensive weight range. Already in use - no reason to change what works.

Use for: body copy, navigation, buttons, labels, captions, form fields. Weights: 300-800.

Monospace / Technical
